This past month we were replacing a fence that had been erected using traditional ground sleeves. The fence was about 7 years old. When we removed the sleeves from the ground, we found that they were rusted out.
This is what else we found at the job site– Where the water was laying in the ground sleeve, it caused the post to rust, weaken and bend.
The damaged deer fencing materials you see here were replaced using The Benner Deer Fence Company system. Our reverse sleeve installation system will not allow this to happen. Here's why:
Our sleeve acts as an acceptor, where the posts fits on top of the sleeve. Once the post and post cap are in place, there is no way for water to penetrate the post or the sleeve.
