Deer Grates

Deer grates can be used across driveways to prevent deer from entering your fenced in property. For many people, they are an attractive alternative to a driveway gate. They are typically made of wood and steel. We create custom deer grates to meet the needs and size requirements of each driveway applications.

In recent years, the rising costs of raw materials and shipping rates (especially with heavy and oversized items) have forced us to put a hold on our deer grate installations.

One year check up on a deer driveway grate installed in eastern PA.  Notice the deer fence along the sides of the grate to eliminate cross jumping. This grate can handle basically any weight you can throw on it. It is deep enough to work even during heavy snows. The frame is made of pressure treated Grade A wood and steel. The top section is 3/8" thick x 2 1/2" angle iron which runs across the driveway leaving the deer no chance to tip toe in.

The entire job has all most a 1/2 mile of deer fence installed around the perimeter. The fence line has 4 access gate systems, many hard turns and hills and features a creek crossing.  You can use the Benner Deer Fence System to complete any deer fencing needs you may have.
